It is recommended that students obtain information from occupational therapy programs for their specific admission requirements, as variations exist in the prerequisites of occupational therapy schools. Most schools require a bachelor’s degree, in addition to specific courses and observation hours. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required. However, in order to be competitive, and apply to occupational therapy schools, a GPA of 3.3 or higher is recommended.
Pre-occupational therapy students are encouraged to consult on a regular basis with WAU’s pre-occupational therapy coordinator.
The following courses are normally required for admission to occupational therapy school:
