PRE-LAW CURRICULUM

The pre-law curriculum focuses on the development of skill in analytical thinking and persuasive discourse, along with introductory study of the American legal system and government.

The prelaw program is open to students in all majors.

Required Courses (20-21 Credits)

Courses for the pre-law curriculum are:

ENWR 230 - Expository Writing Credits: 3 *
PHIL 250 - Introduction to Logic Credits: 3
PLST 255 - American Judicial System Credits: 3
PLST 494 - Topics in Political Science Credits: 1-3 - (take 3 times for 2 credits each totaling 6 cr.)
Note: Must take topic titled: Law & Seminar to fulfill requirement

Choose two of the following courses: (5-6 Credits)

BUAD 375 - Business Law I Credits: 3
BUAD 376 - Business Law II Credits: 3
ENWR 330 - Advanced Expository Writing Credits: 3 *
PLST 250 - American Government Credits: 3
PLST 494 - Topics in Political Science Credits: 1-3 - (if taken more than 3 times totaling 2 credits)
Note: Must take topic titled: Law & Seminar to fulfill requirement
RELT 385 - Christian Ethics and Modern Society Credits: 3

*ENWR 230 and ENWR 330 are taught on an alternating basis.
