Exploration of the legal environment of business with an emphasis on the legal system, individuals and property. Topics include an overview of the American legal system, torts, crimes, business ethics, contracts, leases, personal and real property, wills, trusts and estates.
Note: First semester of a two-semester sequence. This course is a prerequisite to that of the second semester course. Credit may be received for the work of this course without the completion of the second.
