Prerequisite(s): BIOL 305; ENGL 101, ENGL 102 and COMM 105 or ENGL 101H and ENGL 102 with a minimum grade of “C.”

A discussion of the philosophy of science, scientific method, exchange and interpretation of data, reference resources, etc., as well as an introduction to the critical evaluation of periodical literature in the biological sciences. One class meeting per week.
