FINANCIAL AID REFUND POLICY

When students reduce their class load below 12 hours (full time) or withdraw from all classes, awarded institutional, external, state, and federal financial aid may be affected.
Federal Aid Refund
Partial Withdrawal:
- Students who drop below 12 hours (full time) may have their federal aid reduced, depending on the received assistance.
- A student must register for at least six hours per semester to receive a student loan through the Federal Direct Loan Program (subsidized Direct Loan, unsubsidized Direct Loan, and PLUS Loan).
- Students who drop below six hours may be required to begin paying back their student loans.
Withdrawal from All Classes:
- Students who withdraw from all classes before the aid is posted to their account may lose all eligibility for federal aid.
